DC Shoes is a full-out athletic shoe company, offering top-drawer shoes and boots as well as snowboards, shirts, jeans, hats, and jackets. The company manufactures footwear for all types of extreme sports, including skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, motocross, rally car racing, and surfing, for men, women, and kids.

The company was founded in 1993 and is based in Vista, California. DC originally stood for 'Droors Clothing Footwear,' but since the sale of Droors (which is now defunct), DC no longer has any ties to Droors and is, simply, DC Shoes. Quicksilver acquired DC Shoes on March 10, 2004. The sale hasn't affected the popularity of their shoes and their team-player philosophy. As with any skateboarding shoe company, DC Shoes promotes the team aspect, where skateboarders offer their advise and knowledge to the construction of each shoe.

For instance, DC Shoes carries a new Shinoda Remix series based upon a new model and colorways from Mike Shinoda. Lemar and Dauley Double Label is in its second installment of an ongoing collaboration. The muse for the Lemar and Dauley Admiral was the idea of regatta sail boats.
